Welcome Home was a Burning Man Honorarium piece in 2019. Our concept was simple, let's build a cozy, mid-century home for people to come relax and enjoy each other's company in a warm, inviting space. Oh, and let's put it 12 feet in the air with no walls or anything, for funsies.
Every single item on this ambitious project was custom-built and curated by the incredible Salt Mind crew, which includes me, Joey Howell, Brian Dean, and a host of other talented friends. Together we were able to fabricate everything from the steel structure, down to the shelves full of personal items that belonged to the fictional family we invented that called this house their home.
